Wire has new album coming out called Wire

    Pink Flag link .

I really loved the last one, Change Becomes Us so I'm looking forward to this. Some US tour dates announced but nothing in Mpls

Big money offers have been made to Wire to become part of the Heritage Rock industry, to get the original line-up back together and play only 70s music. These have all been unequivocally turned down. Fun though that might be, why plant yourself firmly back in the past when you are making new music this potent with the promise of more in the future?

  2. The last one was really good.

  3. Dates are up at Brooklyn Vegan...no Mpls, not even Chicago

  4. Too bad
    Very admirable band

  5. The last time they came through in 2011 (?) they were great

  6. I really like their last album too, been listening to it a lot lately, actually. They kicked such arse at ATP 2012. I thought I was into Object 47 when it came out but didn't dig it a whole lot the last time I listened to it. Still haven't checked out Red Barked Tree.

  7. I was just looking at their recent discography and realized I didn't hear Object 47, Red Barked Tree is good, I thought the songs sounded a lot better live, the Black Session is from that 2011 tour and is highly recommended

  8. I have a conditioned response to Wire. An ex was a super fan. I hate Kraftwerk too because of their negative association in my brain.

  9. they are like a buzz in my ear.

  10. Zee zee zee, zum zum.

  11. Love me some Wire. Wish they were playing here.

  12. Nobody could make me develop a negative association with Wire.

  13. "Wire-Wire" would be a sweet band name

  14. It bothers me that I have this association. I still love pink flag. It's weird. I guess it's a weird version of bittersweet.

@orbit Nobody could make me develop a negative association with Wire.

Never talk to Flour about his experience with one of the members.

  16. warning: this may contain content deemed pilfering of backstage deli trays

  17. I thought it was The Ex that stole zom's birthday cake?

  18. I think it was Ian Svenonius, who was hiding in a closet while King Buzzo came in to do his hair?
