As you were.
@stu My question: what does employee owned mean? If an owner of a restaurant occasionally waits tables but doesn't draw wages, is that employee owned?
I've always understood it to mean that every employee holds an ownership stake in the business, however small it may be; but it's totally possible (likely?) that folks play fast and loose with the "employee-owned" term...
I know of a restaurant that says they are employee owned because the managers and exec chef (who also works the kitchen) are the owners, having bought it from the more traditional owner recently. All of these owners do draw a salary for their work.
I really don't care that much, but I'm interested in how people interpret it.
