What are ur thoughts on Faulkner?
paging John Goodman. paging John Goodman
(press like if u seen Cloverfield 2)
Currently reading White Oleander - I think it was a movie a few years back. P good.
Just finished Rabbit, Run by John Updike. Didn't know anything about Updike before and this book didn't make me real eager to keep reading him.
1960 - story of a disenchanted family man, essentially. It was OK.
Never saw the Notebook, guys but tbh I just had a long conversation about Nicholas Sparks with this 75-year-old guy at my work.
Turns out N Sparks lived for a short time in my hometown of Watertown, MN, way back in the day when he was 6-7.
This is kind of like being married to someone for a really long time and it has its ups and downs, certainly, but overall it is great.
But then that person gets alzheimers and forgets stuff and acts all weird but you keep on holding on.
If the MRMB were a neighborhood in the Twin Cities, what would it be?
Started reading Updike Rabbit, Run. B/c I want to get more 'classics' under my belt and this one seemed accessible.
So far, so good? Don't know much about Updike. Book is from 1960. Stay tuned.
No Country for Old Men - I read this with more vigor than anything I've read in a while. Loved it. Even though I've seen the movie twice I think, but it's been 6-7 years.
I've also read McCarthy's All the Pretty Horses and The Road - any other I should read by him?
