picked up the long dark. imperfect but very interesting. anyone playing this rn or should i move along?
reading sebald's austerlitz, which somehow i never read, and it is fucking incredible. love the emigrants, dislike vertigo and rings of saturn; austerlitz is just wonderful. definitely my favorite of the bunch so far.
also, walser's microscripts, and the country road by regina ullman. both are fucking fantastic.
was not super into keller's novellas; putting them aside for the moment.
also kinda leafing through hamsun's hunger, which i haven't read since high school. loved it then, but now i find something irritating about it. a convincing portrait of insanity, but there is something seething and hateful about it that i'm not into at the moment. also can't quite make myself forget the whole hitler thing, though i know he was not in his right mind by then.
since when does an asshole get points for adhering to his principles?
they're shitty principles.
idk, he doesn't fool me. i'll cop to being thankful to have a dissenter on the other side, but the enemy of my enemy is not my friend, also i'm not convinced he's the enemy of my enemy.
the witch was bogus bullshit.
sick of movies/books posing binary questions and giving non-binary answers to them.
Q: is there a witch?
A: the woods.
is elite: dangerous worth it? i'm tempted.
