Saturday August 5th!
This is a rain or shine outdoor event. We show films in our hay barn-converted-to-theater during the transition time between bands. The 2017 festival will feature musical performances by Roma di Luna, Gramma's Boyfriend, The Black Eyed Snakes, iNMiGRATiON, and a live film score and set by ZULUZULUU!
The festival is located on a hobby farm near the beautiful St. Croix Valley and within a few miles of the scenic Gateway Bike Trail. Attendees are encouraged to bike to the festival and receive a steep ticket discount for doing so. Limited camping is available on site at no charge. Visit our website at www.squarelakefestival.com for more information.
General Advance Tickets $35
Biking Discount Tickets $15
Bump of an ancient thread. We're looking for a picture that was taken at the 2012 Square Lake Festival that is of Mark McGee and Spider John Koerner together. If anyone knows where I can find this pic please send me a link or the name of the person who took it. Thanks!!
Fruits and I are heading to New Zealand and Australia so soon. I can't wait! I'm going to hang with the penguins and albatross while he goes record shopping.
Bumping this to ask for some support for my brother's wife. She has been living with metastatic breast cancer which has recently progressed to her liver for 2 1/2 years. As you can imagine, treating cancer is expensive and difficult to do on one income.
A YouCaring page has been set up to help support Shelly and my brother with the financial burden of cancer and pain management treatment.
Anything helps and your words of support go a long way for this courageous woman.
I'm also looking for one person to help me with attendee surveys. If you're interested, send me a message or post on here. It's a volunteer position but you would get free admission into the festival.
This is happening in less than a week!

The park system is pretty great and relatively inexpensive for renting out for weddings. I had to book our reservation almost a year in advance to get a Friday at Theo Wirth. We were able to have a band at the chalet (where the reception was) but the band had to adhere to local noise ordinances. St. Paul parks are a lot cheaper to rent than Minneapolis but there's a different system for reserving them and are more difficult to get if you are a non-resident of St. Paul.
I'm looking for a part-time gig that pays decently. I've been doing a lot of freelance/consulting work lately outside of my own consulting business that I recently started. Lately I've been doing bookkeeping, inventory management, and employee payroll for small businesses (using Quickbooks), Squarespace website design, design for business logos and business content development. I also have professional and an education in data analysis (quantitative and qualitative), program design (social programs that work with people, not computers), strategic planning, data visualization, etc.
If you hear of anything, lmk. Thanks!
oh no, Magma. I'm so sorry to hear about your step-dad. Thinking of you and the rest of your family.
