Mike Quigley (D-Ill.) introduced the Communications Over Various Feeds Electronically for Engagement act to classify presidential social media posts as presidential records.
@Bicorn Halfelven Wonder Woman... Blows all of the Marvel stuff I've seen out of the water.
Really? I saw it today, and while it was by far the high water mark of the DCCU, it seemed like someone literally said, "Make me a Wonder Woman movie that's 40% Thor, 50% Captain America, and 10% the romantic subplot from Guardians of the Galaxy."
Nice to see a bear not just taking a nap on the sofa, but, you know, doin thangs.
I know this is a totally subjective thing, but man, Comey seems weirdly straightforward. Like, whatever else this testimony does, it undermines the White House's narrative that Comey is some limelight-seeking crazy person.
"Makes my butt swoon" sounds like a euphemism for "gives me diarrhea."
@Drinkwater I really hope Reality Winner doesn't get a harsh sentence for what she did...
I'll go one further and say I hope her lawyer's statement about being eager to "put this behind her" is just rhetoric, and that she's on board for a career in progressive activism. Just looking at the preliminary profiles, she seems to have a great résumé.
If you look at the lyrics of Black Hole Sun with fresh eyes, it does seem like a song that was translated from another language.
@jenn I have liked a lot of the side stories in the new season of Masters of None but all of his female love interests are textbook Manic Pixie Dream Girls. At one point he coos at her and says "I love explaining English words to you" and most of her dialogue is chirps and sighs and smiles... it's grating at times. But, I'm holding onto hope it gets better.
I thought the second season love interest was worse in this regard than the first, but yeah, I agree.
I think the AV Club summed it up pretty well when they said that it wouldn't be so noticeable if it weren't for the fact that every other character feels like they're lifted straight from his real life. It ends up being a bunch of people on screen with one "idea of a person."
