. . . . but for the few of you who had the pleasure of meeting Marcel David Fremont, he was tragically taken from us recently while riding his motorcycle in Montana.

I am sorry I couldn't contact people personally, but as a person who met Marcel at a hologram museum when I was five years old, this is the best I could muster.

He was an absolutely outstanding human being and I am proud that I could introduce him to some of you.

It's only halfway corny and weak. Marcel was always a joy to have around and he liked visiting MN and made everything cooler. When hanging out with STP and Soapy's Oak Park friends, Marcel always made an effort to make sure I felt comfortable and was having a good time. And now he's immortalized in Togetherness's newest hit video, "Mama Mia," playing "Bad Boy 3" and it'll make millions. If you weren't aware, Marcel was a genius and a mad scientist besides being an outlaw. I'm glad I hugged him last Thursday before he left.
My hatred of motorcycles has been further fueled by this tragedy. I, in fact, blame motorcycles and am going to take revenge on them. Rest in peace, dude.

Marcel was one of the good ones, which is how I will remember him. The guy had presence. I feel very fortunate to have met him (thank you STP/SK) and it was always a pleasure to be around Marcel.

carl, i haven't been able to stop thinking about this since i talked to you last night. it is so unbelievable and terribly sad. i felt like i was really getting to know more about marcel on his last visit and i when i hugged him goodbye i knew that i would miss him and couldn't wait for his next visit so i could get to know him better. a few things i did know about him were that he was brilliant and adventurous and that his voice and demeanor were incredibly soothing. i just felt really comfortable and at ease around him. i'm glad i got to see your vacation video, carl. it was the most entertaining other-people's-vacation-home-movie i've ever watched. i haven't watched the mama mia video recently, but i think i'm going to now. the second cut with marcel in it is a lot better.

carl, ben, everyone else affected by this: i can't tell you how sorry i am.

oh man. I never had the chance ot meet him. but this is super sad. internet hugs and kisses to everyone. STP, one of my good friends died last year in a car crash, and I am still feeling it.

I'm coming home in august let's all hang out as much as we can k?
