I liked the Ponys. I really liked their first record/tour... but I think the guitarist that I liked left the band... maybe I'm getting my history confused.
They played a really good show with Unicorns & Beans @ the Triple Rock

Brian Case (90 Day Men/Disappears) replaced Ian before the third record. Their sound changed a bit, but they are still great.

I am excited for this. I love the one Ponys record I have heard (which apparently is by the current incarnation of the band) and I have felt like a jerk for having never seen either France has the Bomb OR The CHambermaids. Bombay Sweets seem rad too!

I am gonna have a drummer for the first time at this show. Pretty excited. The Acetone will make a healthy appearance as well. But, it is the first time I have ever made enough money at a show to afford the $45/song flat fee that Jeff Brown requires in order to get behind the drums.

Seriously. I hadn't seen the Chambermaids in a while. Somewhere between then and now they got way different, and really really good.

No shit, face. I was up close for the MR 10 year show at the Turf and they sounded great, but last night when they played I was farther back by the sound guy and they sounded TOTALLY FUCKING AMAZING. Like, unreal how good they sounded. The Chambermaids have their sounds so dialed in, it is spooky.

Such a great show, god i love the Ponys. I don't know how it's possible, but they get better every time i see them. France Has the Bomb were incredible last night too, so much energy; i'm so sad it's Danny's last show, but shit, what a way to go out! It was my first time seeing Bombay Sweets, those are some fantastic songs. What a night.
