25 DIAMONDS is a very slow moving blog + record label i have been doing... for now the blog has downloads of lots of old mpls. hardcore bands (ereshkigal, the khayembii communique, etc.) and rarities by bands i really like (lync radio show, old rye coalition radio show, etc.), as well as a few updates, videos and rando stuff.
soon i will be announcing the first 3 releases i will be doing; the first lp just got mastered and is heading to the plant very soon, a 7" is being finished up in the recording stages and mastered soon, and another lp is being... constructed? i will announce all details as they are appropriate.

25D 003 - EVERYONE ASKED ABOUT YOU - 'LET'S BE ENEMIES' LP
everyone asked about you were a band from little rock, ar. that existed in the late 90s; they released 2 7"s and a split 7", toured the us in 1999 and recorded an lp that was supposed to have come out on multiple different labels over the years, but somehow never did; the recording became virtually completely lost -- literally, 4 of the 5 members i spoke to didn't even have a copy for themselves? but i found it, and it just got mastered and is leaving for the plant within the next week or two.
this will be pressed in an edition of 300 copies on colored vinyl with screened, hand numbered sleeves. i am in the process of doing a fundraiser dealie for it on indiegogo; essentially a glorified pre-order, where all orders placed there receive an extra DVD-R of a live set by EVERYONE ASKED ABOUT YOU at the 1999 more than music fest in columbus ohio, as well as their name listed in thanks in an insert in the lp. more info as it comes; i expect this will be out in summer time.

sent off the masters for the optional body 7" today -- thrilled to be doing this record; i personally think it's the best songs anyone in the band has been involved with since the vss lp. will share a song via soundcloud as soon as the mastering is done. planning to get this out in time for the vss reunion shows in mid-january (and hopefully fly the record out to them).
golden torso 7" is all packed and ready to go, just waiting for inserts and download codes in the mail. split this one with the band, so i have only 210 copies available before sending off to distros, etc. 300 pressed - 250 on color, and 25 copies each are available on black vinyl through both the band and through the label -- the band versions feature different covers made in time for them to play tesco fest; my copies all have unique spray painted covers. this should officially be out in the next few weeks.
everyone asked about you lp gets closer and closer, but is still awaiting the artwork. 300 pressed, all on color vinyl; there was a special pre-order version of 55 that included a dvd of a full live set by the band at the 1999 more than music fest that is already sold out. ideally this will be out by the end of september.
2 other 7"s already planned for the immediate future that will be announced once i have the masters in my hand.

Debut record by this new band from Minneapolis. Honestly, I’m at as much of a loss as to how to describe this band as everyone else seems to be (‘Theirs is a cataclysmic post-hardcore sound similar to the Bronx or Metz played with a ferocity that leaves an impact on minds and eardrums alike.’, ‘ Part Am-Rep style bulldozer, part shoegaze guitars.’ – various local press), but I’ll say that the first time I heard this band, I described them as ‘one of the loudest bands i’ve seen in a long time. in my weird head, they sound like why the vss full length was reissued on hydra head?!’. SO. Pressed in an edition of 300 copies, all on colored vinyl. Includes a download code.

Total ripper. Described as ‘..a self-indulgent sandbox of screechy, juvenile hardcore’ by the fucking New Yorker!! Pressed in an edition of 300 copies, all on black vinyl. Includes a download code.
All of these releases are expected to be out on 06/01/2013, and updates will happen as things draw closer.

micro-update: test pressings for the ex nuns 7" showed up today, and there will be a release show for their 7" at the hex in early june; a proper announcement (and update) will be made closer to the date.

all tests for 007 - 009 have arrived and sound awesome.
there will be an 'art edition' of the wooden wand single in an edition of 30 being made with hand painted covers and added unique photographs, largely made as a 'thanks' to all the artists involved; 15 copies will be for sale through the website.
ex nuns release show in saturday, june 8th at the hexagon along with buildings, animal lover and congorats. proper thread when i don't have to go to the post office.
optional body 7"s and teenage moods 'grow' lps are now available through ebullition and revolver, for stores/non-mn folks.
future releases are in the future.

Very cool. I did the initial masters for that Ex Nuns EP, cool to see it on vinyl and hear it on the radio and stuff. I hope they changed the album name or made it eponymous, "Shit/Piss Mountain" doesn't have much of a ring to it. Or maybe I'm wrong!

I hope so, I liked the QotSA vibe on that tune. They should SoundCloud the one I mixed or something. Their Radio K shindig was pretty excellent, new untitled track kills. No doubt their full length will be epic if they are still recording with who I think they're recording with.

ex nuns and violent bullshit 7"s are all packed up and ready to go - wooden wand covers are being made asap and all will be available through the webstore on 6/1, then for the first time at the ex nuns release show at the hex on 6/8, followed by through extreme nose and electric fetus the next day as well as off to revolver, ebullition, etc.
next up is the new call me lightning lp, an lp by ex nuns and a ton of other things i'm really excited about are in the works - plans all the way up to my 15th release!
